Open Data Scotland is a community. It is not an organisation or a constituted body.

Our members or participants come from a variety of backgrounds, including, but not limited to

  • Civic society
  • Public sector organisations and employees
  • Private sector companies
  • The Press
  • Academia

The roles of participants are many

  • data publishers
  • data scientists
  • data analysts
  • data visualisation specialists
  • campaigners
  • activists
  • journalists
  • lecturers
  • students
  • researchers
  • geographers

More important than our individual backgrounds are our common values, interests and objectives.
